An applicant for Fellow must:
1. Be a legal practitioner of good repute admitted to practice in a State or Territory of Australia or New Zealand with a minimum of 7 years post admission experience; and
2. Satisfy Council by providing evidence that they have been predominantly engaged in specialist practice in the field of strata law for not less than 5 years, at the time of application, and are readily regarded by their peers as a specialist practitioner.
Applicants for Fellow are required to submit a curriculum vitae addressing the following:
Years devoted to practice of the Discipline
Estimated % of time monthly in that practice
Details of specialist work undertaken
Papers presented and publications
Contributions to professional practice
Contributions to law reform
Cross jurisdictional experience
Any relevant university study demonstrating specialist knowledge of the discipline
Academic Member
An applicant for Academic Member must:
1. Be a legal academic or academic within an allied discipline employed in a university, or equivalent public institution, within Australia or New Zealand with a minimum of 5 years academic experience; and
2. Satisfy Council, by providing evidence, that they have been regularly engaged in academic research, writing, lecturing or consulting associated with the field of strata law for not less than 5 years; and are readily regarded by their peers as academics knowledgeable in the field.
Applicants for Academic Member should provide Council with sufficient evidence to demonstrate satisfaction of the criteria:
Evidence of the applicant’s employment with a university or equivalent
Nature of the applicant’s research and teaching associated with the field of strata law

Member
1. They are a legal practitioner of no less than 3 years standing admitted to practice in a state or territory of Australia, or any overseas common law jurisdiction acceptable to the Council; and
2. They have satisfied the Council that they are currently engaged in practice of the Discipline in their home jurisdiction in a significant way.
Associate Member
1. They are a legal practitioner admitted to practice in a state or territory of Australia or any overseas common law jurisdication acceptable to the Council; and
2. They have satisfied the Council that they: i) are currently engaged in some way in the practice of the discipline in their own home jurisdiction; and ii) aspire to further develop their knowledge and skills so as to eventually specialise in the practice of the discipline; and iii) they do not qualify for any other class of membership of the College.
Government Member
1. They are a legal practitioners admitted to practice in a state or territory of Australia or any overseas common law jurisdiction acceptable to the Council: and
2. They have satisfied the Council that they: i) they are an employee of an Australian or overseas Government or Government agency or hold a judicial or quasi-judicial office under such a Government; and ii) their role as such an employee or office holder is associated with the Discipline.
